Stress Test Problems of Guild wars 2

ive participated in betas in stress test that had 3-6fps making it completely unplayable I think we are going to see some really smooth speeds on launch. 10-20 fps during a stress test if thats your low numbers then expect some great speeds during launch. Im sure arena has this down to a science from watching and taking notes on what went wrong , what went right with recent launches and have came up with a good game plan. The last few big MMO launches have gone really well. For those that always compare everything to WOW as a reference they made huge mistakes on their initial launch and some servers had been loaded with too many people and players spent several hours or not able to log in to certain servers and then they had servers that you couldnt find people to play with because pop was so low. Now launches are pretty smooth and they start with a low number for a pop cap but thats only to spread people across several servers and usually they lift the pop cap some as other servers fill up.

alright, fridays stress test lagged ppl out yes, why? because they were working on the servers trying to break it to see how much a server can handle. todays stress test there were alot of people playing with little to no lag. so they probably found out how much a server could take and fixed that. also if you lag out on pvp.. dont blame the game, its your internet im sorry but it is.

If end up being on high pop server or full server..it wont be like that for too long if pop caps are done correctly and of course most people only make it to max cap and never play again . then there is us the hardcore players that stay do end game . do pvp foreverits not necessarily peoples internet. For those that had great speeds and no lag then other experienced the rubberband effect on that and would experience a lot more lag.

Guild Wars 2 Stress Test on August 9 and GW2 FAQ

why everyone is getting worked up over the time of the stress test. We're just over 2 weeks away from getting 24/7 access to the game. Lets let the devs have a convenient time for them so they are alert and focused on making the game as.

no one said there won't be one either. it follows that since there was one last week, there's one this week, there very well be one next week. I'm sure they want to gather as much info on stability before launch as they can. but hey, i've been wrong before, and i certainly will be again.

I just received my beta code for Guild Wars 2 a few days ago... are there any more beta weekends coming?

no, but there's a stress test today 12pm- 4pm PST.
stress tests are similar.. but they are only for a very short period.. what said is partly true.. last week they had a stress test, this week they are having one (but they are not set to have them every week or so, only when they fell they need them) the stress test coming up only goes for 4 hours.

I know many are debate about DX11 and DX9. But I would like to know if the game will support true Crossfire and SLI - would be very bad if they didnt. In the beta the game was smoother with SLI and Crossfire disabled.

Graphics optimisation is one of the last things to go into a game. Last stress test saw a jump in graphics functionality mid way through. We may (or may not) see similar today. From memory it seems that they did say that they planned on full sli support by launch. If it was true it would have been from something I read here from at least a few months ago.

Hi, I have a question, I want to join my brother in other server, do I need to buy the in-game Gem to switch server in this stress test? Thanks in advance.
No need to spend money on gems when they will be wiping all character info before launch. If your brother is on your friends list, you can join him in his server for free. The only restriction is that you cannot play WvW, and you will not get his server buffs (only your server's buffs).

Not sure if it'll be active in the stress test, but there will be a free guesting service at launch, which will let you temporarily move onto a different server. We haven't seen it yet in the betas though. The only restriction I know for certain is you can't do the World Vs. World PVP when guesting. For that, you'd have to get gems and do a server transfer.

Yes we will Sylv, the thing is, I really want to play with my bro during the stress test later on, although is only for 4 hours, because last BWE3 we played at different server, my server was full he cant join me that time :(
